CW renews six shows, Privileged on hiatus

The CW released a list of shows renewed for an additional season, it includes Smallville, Supernatural , Gossip Girl , 90210 , America's Next Top Model and One Tree Hill.

However, things are still unclear for Privileged who is missing from that list and subject to rumours about an imminent cancellation, like so many new shows that I start to watch. I'm starting to think that I might be a cursed; first it happened to Joan of Arcadia (I'm still not over it), Angel (that one was a cruel, cruel blow), The Class, then Veronica Mars (A very dark summer 2007). This year not only Kyle XY is getting axed, but also Battlestar Galactica is reaching toward its end (it was originally planned to last 4 seasons).
With my aforementioned luck with tv shows, I might start to check out the ratings and watch only the most popular series, just to be safe...

Kyle XY cancelled ?

Several TV boards and forums such as CW lounge, TV.COM are reporting a possible end to Kyle XY.
Entertainment Weekly confirmed the rumours saturday, the show has really been cancelled because of insufficient ratings compared to other shows of the network. The choice has been made by the executives of ABC Family to renew Greek and Lincoln Heights and to pick up new series 10 things I hate about you and Ruby and the Rockits.

However, for all Kyle XY fans out there, there is still a way to save the show by signing petitions and posting comments on official Kyle Xy forums :

If the people in charge at ABC don't change their decision to put Kyle off the air, I hope they at least let the writers give a decent ending to the show. Another solution could be to give the series a trial run on another day, timeline or even another channel.
