Emily Kuroda guest stars on Grey Anatomy !

Emily Kuroda is the second former "Gilmore Girls" cast member to be rushed to a fictional hospital in the near future. She was great on that show as Lane's mom Mrs Kim, the uptight and very religion abiding Mrs Kim.
She will appear as a guest star on Grey's Anatomy on march 19.

She will play the role of a patient in need of a face transplant.

Shonda Rimes new tv show : "Inside the Box"

Grey's Anatomy's creator Shonda Rhimes is behind this new show "Inside the Box", about an ambitious female producer at a Washington news bureau. The series is being produced by ABC Studios, Shonda Rhimes and written by former ABC News producer Richard E. Robbins.
So far the main cast members signed on this project are:

Indira Varma (Rome, Bones- First episode of season 4) will star as Catherine, a fast-talking, whip-smart and ambitious news producer.

Kim Raver (Lipstick Jungle, 24, Third Watch) will play Samantha, a "knockout blond reporter who once was considered the next Diane Sawyer". So what does this casting move by ABC mean for Lipstick Jungle ?, the tv show still in hiatus is losing more and more cast members. With Lindsay Price being signed on "Eastwick", there is little hope for the renewal of the show :(

Sarah Drew (Everwood, Daria) will play an hopeful low-level employee.

Jason George (Eli Stone, What About Brian) will play an on-air reporter and correspondent.




Martin Henderson (Smokin' Aces, Bride and Prejudice) will play Catherine's on and off again boyfriend and male co-worker.



Jennifer Finnigan (Close to Home, The Bold and Beautiful) will play a White House press secretary.




Lloyd Owen (Viva Laughlin) is rumoured to play the incoming bureau chief at the news station.

Is Shonda Rhimes toying with us ?

If you don't already know her, Shonda Rhimes is the creator and writer of Grey's Anatomy. She recently released a press update on the cast troubles, the rumours of Katherine Heigl leaving and whatnot, "reassuring" the viewers that the precedent articles and media bits weren't true.
According to her, the rumours began after the press misquoted actor James Pickens Jr. (who plays Chief Dr. Richard Webber) when he was asked about the actors leaving. "Tv.com" reported the words of the actor talking about Katherine Heigl : "Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best." Of Knight, he said, "He's going too. He just wanted to pursue other career paths."

Now that things seem to have been cleared up, my point of view about the future of the show hasn't changed. Needless to say, I'm not buying the back and forth and the excuses delivered by the show execs, I'm staying with my original prognostic: Katherine Heigl is indeed leaving, if not at the end of the season, it will happen somewhere at the beginning of next season.
Why?, several recurring cues are too numerous to be ignored:

• Katherine Heigl have had many arguments with the writers about her character having less and less substance on the script.
• The off-camera relationships between the actors are often subjects to gossip and newsworthy (not the off-screen hooking ups kind of news ). First, there was the on-set dispute between Patrick Dempsey and Isiah Washington, next we had the feud between T.R. Knight and Isiah Washington about the "F" word, then Brooke Smith was "let go" from her role as Dr Hahn for reasons that still remain a mystery to me.

So yes, anything is possible in the near future of Seattle Grace, the question is: Are we ready for what is to come ? I know I'm not because Grey's is the most depressing thing on TV (seriously every thursday night is filled with tears and nervous breakdowns, I know they are humans but aren't doctors supposed to come to terms with the eventuality of death, at least for a week?), and I'm definitely not ready to say goodbye to Izzie.

Izzie and George leaving Seattle Grace ?

US Weekly then ABC confirmed the news about Katherine Heigl and T.R Knight leaving Grey's Anatomy. The two actors stated on several occasions their will to leave the TV series and go on to other projects. However, as obliged by their contracts, they will continue the filming for this season. I personally am one of those really disappointed about this decision from the actors to leave. Aside from the talented newcomers, Izzie and George are both characters I like very much considering that Meredith is just downright whiny, Derek definitely deserves a medal for putting up with her weekly tantrums.

So now that we know about them leaving, the door is open for debate regarding the way the characters will leave the show and I have several theories about what the future of Seattle Grace holds in store for us:

• We already know that Izzie (Katherine Heigl) is having some sanity problems with her relationship with her dead boyfriend and all, my theory is simply that the brain tumor rumours were true. She will discover that tumor but either it will be too late to operate or she will die from complications from the procedure.
• We will learn that Denny is not dead and that he is in fact a Cylon so Izzie is leaving not only the hospital but the planet. She will deeply be missed.
• Concerning George, I'm pretty sure that he will simply leave the hospital on his own terms (not forced by the grim reaper as it always is in that hospital).
