A True Canadian work of Art

Two weeks ago, I saw the movie "One Week" at the theater. Starring Joshua Jackson ("Dawson's Creek","Fringe") and Liane Balaban, It's a movie about a man, whom dealing with the news of terminal cancer, decides to take a road trip through Ontario Canada, on his dream bike.

I had no real expectations before seeing this movie, and that may be part of the reason I had chosen to watch it. I wasn't in the mood for any box office winner and I had already seen most of the blockbusters. So I just picked up a ticket for the only movie in the list that I had not heard a single review on. And I'm glad that I chose this movie because I found it really beautiful, both visually and intellectually.
The movie has a "down-to-earth" feel to it, funny at times, and the depiction of the Ontarian region was as heartwarming as the scenery was beautiful.

Unfortunately, this movie is not the type of movies that reach high ranks in the box office. Most people will find it boring and won't see the movie simply because it's not action packed, it's very quiet and slow paced. The movie really makes you think about life, priorities and the bonds we form with people around us.

Ok, I will stop here, I don't want to spoil the movie for you.

Trust me, the trailer doesnt do it justice. It only shows one side of the movie.
I highly recommend this movie to everyone
