My 100th post

I first started this blog on february 1, 2009, and today it's my 100th post, all in one month and a half, if I might add. How awesome is that ? So to celebrate this meaningless achievement, I'm going to reveal 36 random things about my 2nd favorite person on earth, ME.
I initially thought about doing 100 things but I got bored after a while, it's usually more interesting to talk about tv shows.

1. Bruce Springsteen released the song "Born in the USA" the day I was born, how cool is that ?!

2. I'm afraid of heights but I love roller coasters.

3. I like both PC and MAC (Ok I admit, I do like PC a tiny bit more than mac)

4. I sleep 7 hours a day, most of the time

5. I believe that "Acme Corporation" is deliberately sabotaging Coyote's plans by sending him defective devices.

6. I like both winter and summer equally.

7. I'm fluent in 3 languages and I know curses from a lot of languages.

8. I eat everything, except "Jello".

9. All my favorite tv shows are cancelled, or will be by the end of june :(

10. I shower 3 times a day.

11. I volunteer for UNICEF at least a month each summer because I like to travel and see places of the world that aren't showed on postcards.

12. I'm really good at searching for things via "Google".

13. I suck at "Guitar Hero".

14. I love "chick flicks" no matter how repetitive and full of clichés some stories might be, and I'm slightly not ashamed to admit it.

15. I have a crush on Amber Tamblyn, I think she's a great actress and human being.

16. I own more shoes than my girlfriend does.

17. I have 2 younger sisters.

18. I have 2 passeports.

19. I'll be done with my 3rd university degree by the end of 2009.

20. I've never had a real job in my life (my resume is full of volunteering gigs and irrelevant past-times).

21. I don't "twitter".

22. I haven't changed my "Facebook status" in months.

23. I cried a little when "Veronica Mars" was cancelled.

24. I never liked "Jess" from the tv show "Gilmore Girls".

25. I've never watched "The godfather", even though I have the DVDs.

26. I know nearly all the lines from "Remember the titans".

27. I have a calendar in which I insert birthdays of everyone I know. I hope that someday, the calendar will be full of birthdays so that I'll have a reason to celebrate everyday.

28. Ellen Degeneres is my favorite talk show host.

29. My favorite colors are blue, white and black.

30. I play soccer

31. I can play the flute (I wish I knew how to play the piano, guitar or other cooler instrument)

32. I find it very egocentric of earthlings to think that they are the only race in the universe.

33. I drive a prius.

34. I love the smell of new CDs

35. I love how arduous it is to open a new CD.

36. I watched "Twilight" today for the first time, I liked it.

Britney Spears- If You Seek Amy

This is wrong on so many levels, but gotta love Britney for sparking controversy all over the medias. The implied meaning of the lyrics might be too obscene for little tweens, and I'm pretty sure parents everywhere are going nuts about this, but the aspiring adult in me is really enjoying Britney's new album.

Britney's new video: "If You Seek Amy" (Do I really need to translate ?)

Doctor George Smoot on "The Big Bang Theory"

From Season 2 episode 17 : The Terminator Decoupling

We've all been aware of Summer Glau (The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Serenity) guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory, months before this episode. It was all over the tv news and the promo shots from CBS, but what surprised me is that up until watching the said episode I had no idea that George Smoot, a noble prize winner, would be on the show.
It's funny how most people were excited to see "Cameron" but one of the best cosmology theorists managed to stay "under the radar"...

The Big Bang Theory- Sheldon's quotes

"Well, today we tried masturbating for money." (S01E1)

"There's always the possibility that alcohol and poor judgment on her part might lead to a nice romantic evening." (S01E3)

"I'm sorry, but I'm not going to watch the Clone Wars TV series until I've seen the Clone Wars movie. I prefer to let George Lucas disappoint me in the order he intended." (S02E8)

"Oh, well, this would be one of those circumstances that people unfamiliar with the law of large numbers would call a coincidence." (S01)

"I'm not insane! My mother had me tested!"

Emily Kuroda is the second former "Gilmore Girls" cast member to be rushed to a fictional hospital in the near future. She was great on that show as Lane's mom Mrs Kim, the uptight and very religion abiding Mrs Kim.

Shonda Rimes new tv show : "Inside the Box"

Grey's Anatomy's creator Shonda Rhimes is behind this new show "Inside the Box", about an ambitious female producer at a Washington news bureau. The series is being produced by ABC Studios, Shonda Rhimes and written by former ABC News producer Richard E. Robbins.
So far the main cast members signed on this project are:

Indira Varma (Rome, Bones- First episode of season 4) will star as Catherine, a fast-talking, whip-smart and ambitious news producer.

Kim Raver (Lipstick Jungle, 24, Third Watch) will play Samantha, a "knockout blond reporter who once was considered the next Diane Sawyer". So what does this casting move by ABC mean for Lipstick Jungle ?, the tv show still in hiatus is losing more and more cast members. With Lindsay Price being signed on "Eastwick", there is little hope for the renewal of the show :(

Sarah Drew (Everwood, Daria) will play an hopeful low-level employee.

Jason George (Eli Stone, What About Brian) will play an on-air reporter and correspondent.

Martin Henderson (Smokin' Aces, Bride and Prejudice) will play Catherine's on and off again boyfriend and male co-worker.

Jennifer Finnigan (Close to Home, The Bold and Beautiful) will play a White House press secretary.

Lloyd Owen (Viva Laughlin) is rumoured to play the incoming bureau chief at the news station.

Battlestar Galactica- Fraking Amazing Recap

An 8 minutes recap of seasons 1, 2 and 3 of the frakin' (I'm in love with that word) best show on television: Battlestar Galactica.
Made by Sci-Fi Storm.

Rory Rushed to the ER !

Alexis Bledel will make an appearance on the season finale of "ER" on April 2. 2009 on NBC.
Our former "Stars Hollow" resident is part of a group of guest stars scheduled on the last episodes and furthermore the closure to the 15 years old medical drama. She will play the role of intern Julia Wise.
I stopped watching "ER" years ago but I miss seeing Alexis on tv, so I will definitely tune in to check out her performance.

Ashley Simpson Wentz on Melrose Place 2.0

Ashley Simpson Wentz is the newest resident of Melrose Place. She will play the role of "Violet", a small town girl who might be hiding a calculating, shrewd sex kitten personality.
I'm really surprised by this choice from the execs at CW, Ashley was ok in "7th Heaven" but she isn't really my first pick for this role. I think Lizzy Caplan or Sarah Carter would have been great for this part, but anyway I guess I'll just have to put my faith in the people behind the show (no sarcasm intended).
The new "Melrose Place" will air on the CW, fall 2009.

Battlestar Galactica- Great Season 3 ending

This is in my opinion, one of the greatest season ending in television.

Season 3 episode 20: "Crossroads part 2"

"My name is Saul Tigh. I'm an officer in the Colonial Fleet. Whatever else I am, whatever else it means, that's the man I want to be. And if I die today, that's the man I'll be."

Smallville "Tremendous" Season finale

Major Spoiler !!

Something dark this way come , something maybe even darker than the awaited comeback of Lex Luthor. Two of our beloved Smallville citizens are reported to "kick the bucket" at the end of this season, and more precisely during the final episode on May 14, 2009. Furthermore, it seems that one of the characters targeted by Death (Who also goes by the name of "writing staff") is a regular cast member. Several sources confirmed this news and even added that the two deaths will be permanent (no surprise visit from the dead or flashbacks). Accordingly, the actors hadn't been signed on for the next season.

Here are my picks for "Most likely to meet a certain demise on May 14":

Tess Mercer (I'm sensing a gruesome encounter with the Grim Reaper)

Lana Lang (If the writers are staying true to the comics, she isn't going to croak
- i.e, I just wanted to post Kristen in that dress)

Chloe Sullivan (My guess: she will fall by an heroic attempt to save Clark's life)
Allison Mack being my favorite from the cast, the writers had better deliver on the "superman plot" promesses if Chloe dies.

PS: As the end of the season approches, there will be more spoilers than ever on the net, however I won't post any because I simply don't want to know more about the outcome before I watch the rest of the season.
