CW renews six shows, Privileged on hiatus

The CW released a list of shows renewed for an additional season, it includes Smallville, Supernatural , Gossip Girl , 90210 , America's Next Top Model and One Tree Hill.

However, things are still unclear for Privileged who is missing from that list and subject to rumours about an imminent cancellation, like so many new shows that I start to watch. I'm starting to think that I might be a cursed; first it happened to Joan of Arcadia (I'm still not over it), Angel (that one was a cruel, cruel blow), The Class, then Veronica Mars (A very dark summer 2007). This year not only Kyle XY is getting axed, but also Battlestar Galactica is reaching toward its end (it was originally planned to last 4 seasons).
With my aforementioned luck with tv shows, I might start to check out the ratings and watch only the most popular series, just to be safe...

  1. I agree with you. Great shows have been getting cancelled (Moonlight comes to mind from 2007, whacking a show with great actors, ratings, and based on the biggest pop-culure phenomenon right now? BAD CALL.). Now Privileged. Privileged was a great show for the CW, because it reached viewers who still liked watching light, fun television that isn't a sitcom (CW Friday night line up),entirely based on teenagers (Gossip Girl, 90210, America's Next Top Model) or so unrealistic in its plotting it gets ridiculous (One Tree Hill).
